Mona Harty Joins Phoenix Strategic Resources
Atlanta Firm Expands Into Media & Entertainment

ATLANTA (October 23, 2005)
Mona Brown Harty, an 11-year veteran of the Atlanta technology community, has joined Phoenix Strategic Resources as a Senior Vice President. In her new capacity with Phoenix, Harty will be responsible for the company’s Client Management, definition and execution of project management best practices, as well as support and management of the Professional Services team. These teams include Consultants, Program / Project Management & Engineering resources across all verticals. In addition, Harty is responsible for the strategy and management of Phoenix’ Media & Entertainment Practice.

She has outstanding experience in the media and entertainment world and is adept at understanding the details of technology, the realities of business, and the importance of the client. We feel that she’s the ideal person to lead Phoenix into this exciting and expanding area,” said Mendoza.

Harty will be responsible for building the media and entertainment practice for Phoenix, including both creating the business strategy and overseeing implementation. She also hopes to bring a very high quality, client-centric approach to Phoenix’s professional services group, ensuring that industry standards and best practices are inculcated into the organization. She will also strongly emphasize client feedback, interaction, and satisfaction.

I’ve been fortunate to have worked for and with some of the leading media and entertainment companies in the world. I am thrilled with the opportunity to bring that experience, and my own ideas, to Phoenix,” she said.

Harty comes to Phoenix after leaving her role with Siemens Business Services Inc.’s Media & Entertainment Group where she was the Vice President of Professional Services for North America. Ms. Harty moved into this role after Siemens Business Services acquired BBC Technology, where she was one of the founders of the North American Management Team.

There, she ran BBC Technology North America’s East Coast Operations and then moved into the Head of Delivery / Vice President of Professional Services role for their Digital Media Solutions (DMS) group. While with BBC Technology, Harty and her teams managed relationships and cutting-edge projects and for clients such as Fox Digital, National Public Radio, ESPN, ABC Radio, CNN, BBC News 24, Canal 13 (Chile), DirecTV, “3” (Formerly known as Hutchison 3G), BSkyB. BBC Technology was a wholly owned subsidiary of the British Broadcasting Corporation.

Prior to joining BBC Technology, Harty served as the South East Director of Strategy for iXL's Digital Media & Broadband Solutions Practice Group (DMS). While there, she not only led the strategy initiatives for her region but spent significant time leading project teams in the Program Management, Project Management, Requirements Management, and Quality Assurance Directorship roles on multi-million dollar digital media asset management, and, broadband projects.

Additionally, she played the Chief Information Architect role on a number of projects and managed the DMS Information Architecture group. Before joining iXL’s Digital Media & Broadband Solutions Practice Group at iXL, Harty held positions as the World-wide Production Manager, for iXL's iXstream Division where she was charged with client managing and producing all of the Live and On-Demand streaming events.

From there, she went on to become a Product & Program Manager for iXL's "Streamline" product, and then to lead Strategy and Project Management work for iXL's Knowledge Management Group.

Prior to iXL, Harty spent five years as the founder, General Manager and Director for the Cable Television & Multimedia facility at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta. Responsibilities included definition and execution of the business, technology and infrastructure strategy for the division and institution, as well as for the Olympic Village for the 1996 Olympic Games.

In addition to Harty’s vast experience in the Media Consulting & Program Management field, other experience includes Assistant Station Manager, TV-3, in Malibu as well as years of experience Producing, Directing, Scriptwriting and Technical Directing in the Video Production field.

She has a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Pepperdine University, as well as a Master of Science in Information, Design & Technology from Georgia Tech.
